Meet the Chef
Former Footballer, Triple A Building Contractor, Interior Designer, Fashion Retailer, Transport Rental Operator & BPO Operator turned Chef.
Despite already having a business career in Manila and in United States, Chef Velmor discovered his true passion in cooking during his stay in California & New York. It was his career's major turning point.
He earned his culinary experience at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, California.
In 2008, he decided to come home and become a caterer and private chef for corporate institutions.
He is currently the Executive Chef and President of Purple Dish Group and Metro Chef Canteen Concessionaire.
In 2010, Chef Velmor’s recipe for creativity and experience as a Catering Chef changed the way food is served in wedding events. He created a trend for wedding food that defines the character of the Bride & Groom. He believes that at the end of the day, good food is something that guests will talk about after the wedding especially if they have never tried the dish before.
Even if Chef Velmor serves thousands of employees for his corporate clients daily, at the same time having private events during weekends, he still finds time to hone his craft. He attends special trainings and seminars in Culinary Arts that includes learning to become a Chocolatier and the art of Food Photography.
As an advocate of Filipino cuisines, while infusing different cultures and modern techniques, Chef Velmor will continue to develop creative and delicious dishes that will excite everyone’s palate and will become tomorrow’s flavor.
